Those of us not wandering around the venerable Sundance Film Festival right now won't likely get a chance to see ODDSAC, which is being billed as "a visual album by Animal Collective and Danny Perez," for a few months at least. Luckily we've been thrown a proverbial bone in the form of a trailer. The half-minute clip looks something like every Tool video played simultaneously at double the intended speed. ODDSAC premieres tonight at Sundance, but fret not. Additional screenings will take place in March in New York and Chicago with the band and visual co-conspirator Danny Perez in attendance. Perez and Animal Collective have been collaborating on the hour-long multimedia project for years now, and it ought to be interesting to see what they've produced. Tickets for the New York and Chicago showings are on sale now at the ODDSAC website. [Pitchfork]
i'm tired of weird for the sake of it.
