‘Angel Dust’ (EP)

Although best known for his retro-flavored jams with Sir Michael Rocks as The Cool Kids duo and thumping beats for the likes of Asher Roth (“In The Kitchen“), Stalley (“Party Heart“) and Freddie Gibbs (“Oil Money“), Chuck Inglish breaks the mould by teaming with crooner Benny Cassette for a new EP, Angel Dust.

Given the nature of the partnership, the project is expectedly experimental, as it finds Chuck, with a little production help from Cassette, taking cues from hip-hop, pop, rock and soul for seven wholly unique cuts. The Detroit producer/MC also makes two vocal appearances (“Shades of Blue: Intro,” “Ferngully: Torture”) to compliment the dreamy vocals of his counterpart.

Angel Dust offers fans a refreshing few listens just in time for Chuck’s solo LP, Convertibles, which is expected to arrive before the year’s end. Stream and download the EP below.
