The 51st annual Newport Folk Festival was this last weekend, and among the performances by Jim James, Sharon Jones, John Prine and others, was an Andrew Bird performance that featured Calexico as his backing band. Above is video of "Skin Is, My" from The Mysterious Production of Eggs, and unsurprisingly, it's got an American southwest flavor, thanks to Calexico's horns and mesquite shuffle.
