Andrew Bird: "Bein' Green" (Kermit The Frog Cover)
Only the most coldhearted asshole would be against the imminent comeback of the Muppets, who are being dusted off for a new movie this fall. There's going to be a big Muppets tribute album this fall too, and Andrew Bird is the guy tasked with one of the Muppets' most famous songs, "Bein' Green." You can hear Bird's take of the song over at NPR. He's the best whistler in indie rock, and he proves that by straight up crushing a whistle solo halfway through. Here's the original for comparison:
