Andrew Bird, sans band, is the performer for the latest episode of Pitchfork TV's Cemetery Gates, which records performances by indie bands in a chapel in a cemetery. Bird runs through a violin, whistling and looping-heavy version of "Anonanimal" in striped socks, delivering the first performance on Cemetery Gates that actually sounds vaguely like church music.
But as a message to Cemetery Gates: enough with the quiet bands. Get a band that's so loud they might wake the dead. Maybe A Place to Bury Strangers? [Pitchfork]
