Another week, another new track from Bradford Cox’s new album as Atlas Sound, Parallax. Previously, we heard “Modern Aquatic Nightsongs” and fellow Prefix editor Andrew Winistorfer noted that is seemed like Cox could be transforming into a “mellow noise rock crooner.” His assessment remains true here on “Amplifiers,” an equally noise-filled affair that boasts more languid crooning and ambient, field-recording sounds. We’re definitely looking forward to hearing how the entire record comes together and whether or not Cox is done with the whole distortion thing. Stream the track below. Parallax drops Nov. 8.
