Amadou & Mariam are re-releasing their much-loved Welcome to Mali

here in the states on March 24 on Nonesuch. In anticipation, U.S. fans of the couple's electronic Malian blues-pop will wholeheartedly welcome the formerly unreleased song, Tambara." The track was originally recorded during the recording of Welcome to Mali. "Tambara"'s main vocal line sees Amadou singing about the warmth of community: "Moi je vais chez toi, mais toi tu viens pas chez moi. Viens chez moi, je vais chez toi, on sera tous ensembles." In English, that translates to  "I go to your place, but you don't come to mine. Come to me; I'll go to you; we'll all be together." In step with the lyrics, guests Mehdi Habad and singer Smriti Minocha lend the funky track a lovely lilt. Chalk up another win for the duo. [Pitchfork]
