If you have been reading magazines over the past few months, you might have noticed that Tanqueray has picked up Aloe Blacc as one of its new spokesmen. And the rapper-turned-soul-singer's role with the Gin supplier apparently goes beyond merely flashing a smile and looking sharp in their print advertisements. Blacc has recorded and shot a video for a track specially made for Tanqueray called "Tonight Downtown." He's still in throwback mode here, but he's upped the funk ante sufficiently for a jam dedicated to "going downtown, going downtown, going down-d-d-down-downtown." Pretty fun, though, and one of the better corporate-endorsed projects we've seen in a minute.
