Calling all Grammy voters: One of the slots on your Best Album ballot has done been filled. Alison Krauss and the Union Station put out an album earlier this week, and they just started their Grammy campaign on Letterman last night. Krauss was joined by Jerry Douglas for the title track from her album, "Paper Airplane," in the typically subdued manor she gets down on most of her music. This is a real test for Krauss though; will she hold onto the mainstream audience that loved the album she did with Robert Plant? Or does she go back to her weird niche of bluegrass country? I'm betting on the former, though Letterman would give his left nut to hang with her. [Audioperv]
