Adele: "Rolling In The Deep" (Jamie xx Shuffle)
It's becoming clear that Jamie xx wants to have one hell of a year. We had an inkling of this when we heard leaks from his forthcoming remix project with Gil Scott-Heron called We're New Here, which revamps Scott-Heron's 2010 album, I'm New Here. And now, Jamie's tackling Adele's latest single, "Rolling In The Deep." The track, which is still propelled by the singer's huge voice, now has, well, a shuffle to it thanks to hand claps, stuttering percussion, and layers of in-and-out instrumentation. The best part, though? The slowed-down, molasses-drenched vocals of Adele that hit at just the right time.
