Adele: "Hometown Glory" (Live on Letterman) (Video)

Fresh from winning two Grammy Awards, Adele performed for a clearly blown away David Letterman last night (March 30). She may have been dubbed “the new Amy Winehouse” by the British media, but this performance of “Hometown Glory” proves she’s a more than capable alternative.

Backed by strings and piano, Adele gives an astonishingly mature performance for a 20 year-old, proving that she’s got that sultry-jazz-singer thing down pat. Adele has also been writing a song for the Pussycat Dolls and has a second album in the works, and apparently has a number of high profile duets planned in the near future.
