Pat Grossi’s label splashed out on some serious gear to produce his latest video as Active Child, so it makes sense that tech site Gizmodo is premiering it. “Hanging On” matches his familiar falsetto with a sluggish beat and minimal instrumentation, allowing a mix of vocal manipulations and straight singing to guide this track to its climax. The video centers on a man fishing in the woods, helpfully matching the lonely, isolationist feel of the song. This is likely to be a busy year for Active Child following the release of You Are All I See in August, which is available in a deluxe edition via this link.
