A lot of bands inspired by the music of bygone eras don't like to parade their influences around, as if the New Order or Big Star in their music is inaudible. Well, Acrylics certainly doesn't sound like one of these; listening to "Molly's Vertigo," there's certainly more than a touch of Classic Rock radio, and, do I dare, 90s Alternative? Don't judge them on that analysis alone though, the result is certainly better than the combination of those two things might indicate at first. The band currently has a few shows scheduled in New York, if you want to get a taste of the duo's throwback-obliging tunes live. You can find that info at Acrylics' Myspace page.
