Abe Vigoda: "To Tears"
Abe Vigoda continue to abruptly turn their sound on its head with "To Tears," the latest track to emerge from their upcoming album Crush. Any remaining people still clinging to their old "tropical punk" tag should finally be converted to the band's new sound. While still chock full of chiming and nervously twitchy guitars, a bank of synths makes an appearance, and the overall mood of the tune is a lot darker. A brave step forward, that's for sure.
"To Tears" can be heard over at Stereogum. Crush is due out via PPM on Sept. 21.

definitely different from their past stuff but still loving it
