Self-proclaimed "tropic-punks," Abe Vigoda, certainly don't like to stick with one sound for very long. Their second LP, Skeleton, was a nervous, upbeat party-punk affair full of ritalin-induced mood swings and high-end chiming guitars. While last year's Reviver EP showcased a darker side of the band like an updated, basement show version of Berlin-era Bowie. Sure enough, the boys have seemingly cashed in their sound again for a collection of early New Order singles and a keyboard. The first mp3 off their up-coming LP, Crush, features rollicking synths over a simplistic drum machine suggesting the four-some from LA have gone all 80’s night on us.
Crush is scheduled to drop sometime in September via PPM
