Despite reports to the contrary, Abe Vigoda's very much alive in 2009. Not only is the LA-based band alive, but they're putting out the aptly titled Reviver EP on Dean Spunt's (No Age) Post Present Medium label on Feb. 17. The five-song EP starts off with "Don't Lie," a rambling surf-rock sounding track that doesn't really feel too similar to the sunny offerings on last year's Skeleton. As per usual, the band's pop leanings are served with heavy doses of reverb and distortion, so you can give the track a paint-by-numbers treatment to accomodate your particular late-winter/early spring experience.
