“A Gold Thunder”

West Coast singer-songwriter Julia Holter just dropped her latest album, the damn-good Ekstasis, a work that combines synth-pop sensibilities with an avant-garde vision. And to celebrate its release, the folks at Compost And Height are giving away a track from Holter that she sent over back in August 2010.

“A Gold Thunder” might sound like it would house some massive sounds, but it’s about as minimalist as it gets. All you hear is Holter’s almost-cold vocals and her playing ukelele and a Casio keyboard at the same time. You can stream and download the track via the widget below. [FACT]
