9th Wonder, Murs: "Asian Girl" (Video)

On their sophomore collaborative effort, 2006's Murray's Revenge, Murs and 9th Wonder delivered one of their more poignant tracks via "D.S.W.G. (Dark Skinned White Girls)." The lyrically heavy song dealt with the issues surrounding, well, dark-skinned white girls and some of the issues Murs has seen them face.

But here, the rapper and producer duo opt to drop the seriousness of that particular track and dish out stereotype-laden verses for Fornever's "Asian Girl." I am well aware of the lighthearted intentions of this track and their want to simply make an ode to that continent's females. But it's simply not executed very well here and many of the rhymes seem like they'd come from a more careless duo than Murs and 9th. If nothing else, though, at least this is a chance for you to hear 9th rap if you haven't before. He's not terribly impressive, but he does hold his own on this cut.
