The latest single from David Banner and 9th Wonder's Death of a Pop Star to get the video treatment has that kind of cheesy self-awareness that you can't help but at least flash a small grin at. That goes especially for the guest bars from Ludacris, whose at his most animated, goofy throughout "Be With You." His vocals are a fine complement to Banner's more molasses-drenched delivery while both toe the border of sweet sentiments and flat-out "I just wanna bang ya" punch lines. The star (no pun) here might just be 9th Wonder's production, which showcases his diversity, and the flashy '70s-inspired imagery.
Death of a Pop Star is due out Dec. 21.
