50 Cent's output this year has been ridiculously strong for a guy who spent most of last year ending up in headlines for reasons other than his music. But as I wrote about "Old 2003 Ferrari" last week, 50's on a mission to return to his earlier, hungrier days as an MC. And just as he did on that track, he brings out his younger aggression throughout "When It All Goes Down." He switches from his more meditative flow to a rapid-fire delivery, showing that he hasn't lost a step in between shooting films and creating a line of headphones. As 50 says in the outro of the track: "For some reason I'm better when I'm mad." Damn straight.
