Update: 50 Cent has released yet another new track today. This time it's "Love, Hate, Love," a tune that should satisfy everyone hating on "The Enforcer." See, this is the 50 we want to hear. Angry, tough, and spitting over some great production. If this is what we can expect to find on his upcoming new album, we're definitely down. "Love, Hate, Love" reminds us of those lyrically strong tracks 50 was leaking earlier this year. That reminds me: has anyone compiled them onto a mixtape? Or are we all just waiting for him to do it?
Listen to "Love, Hate, Love" below.
It sounds like 50 Cent is the latest hip-hop artist to submit to the increasingly awful Euro-influenced pop movement. His track on the Real Steel soundtrack, "The Enforcer," includes stuttering percussion, grating synthesizers, and dunce cap-worthy sing-song elements. It's probably going to sound fine to whoever feels the need to see the aforementioned film, which looks pretty awful. But we're disappointed after hearing "Street King Energy Track #7" the other day. That's the 50 we want to hear. Not some Black Eyed Peas-esque garbage that is trying way too hard. Just do you, 50.
