50 Cent returns to the top-secret soldier theme of his “In Da Club” video in the clip for his new single, “Get Up.” Overall, “Get Up” is the strongest 50 track since probably Get Rich or Die Tryin—the beat is huge, 50 sounds menacing and invigorated, and he doesn’t try to sing at all. The video is a typical big budget snooze fest however—am I supposed to be impressed that 50 can break glass with his hands? Or that he is so badass, he makes out with a woman on an elevator while using the controls, in a clear violation of the user’s manual? Because I am not.
“Get Up” is on Before I Self-Destruct, which is slated for a December 16 release via Shady/Aftermath/Interscope. [Smoking Section]

Music video reminds me of Mad Max or something. Song is pretty hot the beat is banging.
