For the second time in a year, 50 Cent is releasing the "lead" single from his ever-delayed Before I Self-Destruct, this time settling on "Baby By Me," a Ne-Yo-featuring, Polow Da Don-produced joint that finds 50 in his lover mode (as heard on "Candy Shop" and "Ayo Technology") "romantically" asking a girl to have a baby by him. Ne-Yo's hook work is solid is always, but there's some weird vocal sample at the beginning of the song that sounds like this track was nearly a ringtone anthem, but since Ne-Yo was available, they backed off that, and someone forgot to erase the old version.
Before I Self-Destruct is due out in November (allegedly). [NahRight]
