Keith Richards Wins Norman Mailer Book Award

Keith Richards is a lot of things: the greatest guitar player ever (debatably), the man who defined what rock ‘n’ roll should look and sound like, and the inspiration for Johnny Depp’s horribly overrated Jack Sparrow. But he can add another thing to his resume: winner of a Norman Mailer Prize for Distinguished Biography, as his Life won the award last night.

Richards won the award after Elie Wiesel, writer of Night, and winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, won a lifetime achievement Norman Mailer award. Can you believe this? Dude is winning awards at places where Nobel Peace Prize winners hang out. [Yahoo]
