Johnny Ramone’s Memoir Due Out This Year

Seven years after his death from prostate cancer in 2004, Johnny Ramone’s memoir, Commando: The Autobiography of Johnny Ramone, is due for release this spring. Ramone wrote the book as he was dying, so it’s reportedly no-holds barred, no punches-pulled take of Ramone’s life in the Ramones, and it has intimate stories about his relationship with his wife Linda, who he famously “stole” from singer Joey Ramone. Tommy Ramone, the band’s original drummer and producer, wrote the forward, and his good friend, Lisa Marie Presley wrote the epilogue. It’s due out this Spring. [RS]
