Rather, I'm talking about a Shaquille O'Neal(notes)-free NBA for the first time since 1993. That's pre-Justin Bieber being born, people. It's kind of like a big deal.

 

And while we knew this day would come eventually, no one figured it would be next season. However, now that the Atlanta Hawksare signing Josh Powell, The Diesel might end up without a team. From ESPN's Ryan Corazza:

He seems to be closer to signing with Atlanta now.

I can't wait for next season.

i think i'm rooting for the Thunder this year.

I know there will be a part of me to root against them too (pending who they play).

that's funny you're renting old nba flicks. i used to love those things. i think i used to get a series called like nba superstars or something and each guy had like a section. kinda like a skateboard flick where each guy had a part. my favorite part was tim hardaway's where he was doing the killer cross over on tons of guys. they also used great music like eric b and rakim "don't sweat the technique" and wreckx n effect "rump shaker" oh and of course my favorite Bell Biv Devoe's "Above the Rim." Man I used to get pumped up before hitting the courts by watching those vids...
