It sounds like a news station trying to make something out of nothing, judging by the first two reactions. You interview enough people, eventually you're going to get someone who has a problem with it. I'm sick of media sensationalism.

Well, I guess the thing is that you're dealing with something happening in the south, where there is still an uneasiness about race. The costume was pretty horrible, and I'm betting it involved her saying the n word a lot.

I agree that it was poor judgement and in poor taste, but I still think the media is turning a molehill into a mountain here.
