These aren't exactly original, but "Next up" "All Ears" "Suggestion Box" "Prefix Presents"
and prepicks is pretty cute. |

"prefix pipeline" might not be very clear what it means though |

My problem with 'Almost Famous' is that it's just not that original, or that pertinent to the Prefix brand. You guys have worked to make the prefix name a player in the game, so why not continue to build on that. 'Almost famous' just seems like a deviation.

God I love that movie.
I've been sour on Prefix Picks, I guess, because we've already tried it for albums we liked (see my first post in this thread), and because it just seems to exist somewhere in that netherworld between lame and cute and unimaginative and straighforward. But it might be the best we have so far.
I agree about the "branding" of the Prefix name, but I also think it's important to build out story platforms, the names of which can, of course, become "brands" in themselves, heavily associated with the name Prefix. That's the direction I think we should head. You hear Next 1000 and immediately think of Urb, for example.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I just can't see anybody sitting around saying a band was named a Prefix Pick the same way they might say a band was named a Band to Watch, or whatever.
That said, I don't really have anything new. I've been trying to come up with something straightforward -- Next Big Thing (with a knowing wink) or New Favorite, maybe -- but I'm still thinking. |
