Does anyone expect a team other than the Celtics to come out of the East?

27-3

crazy. Granted they're in the East, but it doesn't seem like anyone can beat them in the East assuming they're healthy in the playoffs.

I think Detroit outlasts them in a 7-game series...it's strange, all players I once liked on the C's, I now loathe like Mike Huckabee does Mitt Romney.

i heard analysts on espn saying the Pistons could beat the Celts. they basically said Jason Maxiell and the supporting cast of the Pistons improved, but i just view the Pistons as another year older. i'll have to watch them play this year, but my impression is that they're not much better than last year or the year before.

I think the Pistons have a better chance than the C's. Their starting 5 has been together for a while and their defense is superior.

the pistons and celts are playing in the ec finals. it will go 7 games, and right now im giving the edge to the pistons because theyre more physical. but i think glen davis could be key for the celts in the playoffs if he continues to play well and get better.

as his nickname indicates, "Jason Maxiell Eats Babies."...he is becoming quite a force, and combined with Sheed/McDyess, their frontcourt boasts a good matchup against KG/Kendrick Perkins...plus Chauncey would own Rajon Rondo in a 7-game set.

the C's are hungry though.  I like a motivated Celtics team better than a Pistons team who has already been there done that.

I would think the Pistons would be hungrier because of their disappointing loss to the Cavs.

Speaking of which, if the Cavs make a move before the trade deadline and get a true pointguard like J-Kidd, they would be serious contenders as well. Though I think Kidd is heading to a western conference team.

I agree with the Pistons wanting to prove something after last season. This may be one of their last year's at a shot for the chip and with new blood aiming for the throne, I think they will play rejuvenated come May.

I hope Kidd stays in Jersey, if they trade anybody it should be Wince Carter, a.k.a. Half-Man/Half-a-Season

Too bad VC got a contract extension, he;s most likely staying in NJ/Brooklyn. Kidd and Jefferson are definitely on the trading block though.

i don't think the Nets would be able to get enough from the Cavs to trade Kidd. a ton of the teams in the West would be significantly scarier with Kidd.

Yea, I guess you can't edit posts on this board? I meant... "the CELTICS will not win the east.

Also worth noting the Pistons already beat the Celtics.
