Couples Retreat is based on an original idea of Vaughn’s, the comedy follows four Midwestern couples who embark on a journey to a tropical island resort.  While one of the couples is there to work on their marriage, the other three set out to jet ski, spa and enjoy some fun in the sun.  They soon discover that participation in the resort’s couples therapy is not optional.  Suddenly, their group-rate vacation comes at a price.  What follows is a hilarious look at real world problems faced by all couples.

Whoa. $35 million...

1. Couples Retreat - $35.3 million. Given no other new options, audiences did what they always do and paid their $10-12 for whatever abysmal thing they were given.

 

2. Zombieland - $15 million. More than laughter, I was glad this movie provided me the knowledge that a meek, pathetic, white 20-something could survive in a post-apocalyptic zombie world. Phew!

 

3. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs - $12 million, putting the film even further

does he really have a gf?

He really, seriously saw this. No Joke. He came home and was like, "It wasn't the best movie, but it was hilarious. I think I understand Dane Cook now. I loved it. It was like my own personal Citizen Kane. I want to go see it again right now."

And yeah, he has a GF. He claims she made him see this movie, but he's full of shit. He asked if I wanted to go before his gf even came to visit.

It was alright, if anybody went to it thinking it was going to be the greatest thing ever they're an idiot. Also it was either go see that with my woman or watch the dane cook special with andross. I believe i chose the lesser of two evils.

Let it be noted that theschoenrock only posted that because I annihilated him in an argument about how I'd rather go see a Dane Cook concert than see Couple's Retreat. I said at least if you go to a Dane Cook concert, you can heckle him and try to get thrown out, because obviously, that guy is the wurst. But when you go see Couple's Retreat, the only person you can blame is yourself. I mean, it's not like you can yell directly at Jason Bateman for being in such a piece of shit. Or Kristen Bell. All you're left with is the fact that you spent 7 bucks on Couples Retreat. And you should just go jump in front of a train.

Then he claimed his lady bought his ticket, so it didn't matter to him. Then I said I could never date a ladie who would drag me to Couples Retreat, because it's not what you're like, it's what you like. Then he cried so hard.
