Is it wrong that I'm getting freaked out by the actual 2012? Does anyone know when in 2012 the world is supposed to end? Jan.1? Some day in September? When? I'll need to buy a limo -- it appears they have excellent handling in these situations.

I was watching this on mute... and shimmy ya came on in my itunes... perfection.

World-ending scenarios are certainly cause for concern in reality, but moviegoers couldn't resist dabbling in doomsday this weekend with the release of Sony's "2012." Director Roland Emmerich, already known for disaster epics such as "Independence Day" and "The Day After Tomorrow," set the box office on fire once again with a $65 million weekend debut domestically and an additional $160 million overseas, resulting in a $225 million worldwide intake.

2012 was laughably awful.

so should I watch it??

I heard that it's actually not that bad.

I dunno, after about the fifth barely-escape-from-earthquake/volcano/tsunami-in-vehicle I had to change my mindset to how ridiculous can it get.  They also used a lot of A-Team slow mo car jumps for good measure.

If you like Independence Day and rubbish like that, it's okay. The director was so pleased with his narrow plane escapes, he did it 3 times.  Me=D-minus.
