I didn't expect it to outsell previous iPhone launches.

 

Apple (AAPL) just made a bunch of analysts look silly -- including us -- for assuming that the iPhone 3G S launch would be significantly smaller than last year's iPhone 3G launch.

 

The company says it sold more than 1 million iPhone 3G S models through Sunday, eclipsing the 1 million iPhone 3G models it shipped in the first weekend last year.

Agreed, Apple for life,, although I would have a lot more disposable income right now if I liked PC's & bberry instead...
