eff those haters. Not too long ago I was writing a 400-word article and getting paid $1 a word, so I couldn't offer much in terms of payment for someone to edit/proofread it. Since it was my first time writing for this magazine, I wanted everything to be as tip-top as possible, so that's why I decided to look for another set of eyes in the first place. So I posted on craigslist explaining my situation and even offered what I thought was good monetary compensation given the size of the piece, and you wouldn't believe the d-bag responses I got on CL. You should pay someone the $2 to post on the home page, "Gawker can s*ck my yellow c*ck."

it's just bizarre to get called out when i work out of my studio apt. where my work area is 7 feet away from my bed. not to mention the 5 years of losing money on the site and the thousands upon thousands of loans and credit card debt i took on.
