It wasn't easy but I said goodbye to cable tv today. Last week I canceled my gym membership. |

I cancelled my cable earlier this year... and opted for FTA... FTA is shit though.
I cant blame you for the prices of NY gym memberships, but what are you gonna do about excercise?

Me and theSchoenrock, that dick that lives with me, quit the cables in January when our cable was supposed to double in price. Now I get by on Hulu and Netflix instant via X-Box 360.

I haven't got a television, and I just do yoga in my living room. I take the bus, don't eat much, pluck my own eyebrows and yet I'm still broke. Sigh.

Netflix's instant library sucks, though. :( I still subscribe to (read: "pay out the ass for") cable primarily for my son. |

Nah, man, Netflix Instant is pretty deep. They have a lot of TV shows, movies, and stand up on there. Given it's not as deep the normal netflix, but it's pretty good.

Although I try to support artists wherever possible, the only cable option where I live is digital, which is unfortunately priced.. So I get by illegally on ninjavideo.net..

justin.tv can be wonky at times... still its good.
I found that shit after the TSN2 debacle this season. |

Well, I actually canceled my gym and cable because I want to take Muay Thai classes instead. The only thing is that Muay Thai classes are really expensive so I needed to cut stuff out of my budget.

Cable was cancelled last week. I didn't get to the catch the last of the Wings/Hawks series. We're looking for a new place in the expensive part of town...Next to be cut is the land line.
