I twittered the Prefix news post on this and a bunch of people that I'm "friends" with on Facebook wrote sad messages. I was like whaaa? Blender w.0.

hahahaha.

as much as Blender seemed to be pretty lame (increasingly lamer in the past year), they had a stock of terrific writers. And Amy Phillips put it best in her news story for Pitchfork, "No more Blender magazine means some kid isn't going to pick up a copy at the 7-11 because he thinks Katy Perry looks hot on the cover, end up reading about Mastodon, and have his mind blown. And that sucks."
