http://songbytoad.com (lots of bland indie pop, but he writes exactly as he speaks, posts a lot about Edinburgh bands, and his podcasts are pretty great)

I used to go to rbally.net for full live shows but it's been on and off for the last while.

captainsdead.com is good for live music too.

pop-apocalypse.blogspot.com/ uploads a new album leak every day. If it isn't new then it's recent.
