I hate the iPod ad popping up in front of the search bar on top, and the fact that everything is pushed to the middle of the page, but otherwise, it's a pretty good look.

they must have gotten a lot of $ for that iPod ad.

 

Looks like they moved to a grid layout for the homepage

and 3 colums for a bunch of the other pages.

 

The white background is more  readable, and there's more spacing now it seems.

 

Overall I like it.

Pitchfork is not loading for me.

I like it. I even like the way the iPod ad makes the banner go all wobbly, just so long as it doesn't stick around for too long. Pitchfork now looks a lot like Drowned in Sound:

I can see the argument for it being more boring, but it's a lot easier to read and follow.

I'd be surprised if there is an ad the size  of the Apple banner always up though. I imagine it's more of a one-off deal. I also don't like the location of the Forkcast. 

It's finally loading properly.

 

Pretty clean and easy to read...Less gimmicky more corpo.
Whether thats good or bad is debatable. 

 

I think it could use a touch more colour though. 

color is overrated

when a person doesnt know how to use colour properly... I agree it can be overrated.
