Same here, Daba.

My friends and I will be going early Sunday morning.

There was a time when I used to go to midnight showings.

I just don't get into it like that anymore.

I don't mind waiting a  couple days/weeks  to see  movies  now.

... the top 10 reasons why it might just be the riskiest mainstream movie ever made by a filmmaker:

10. It Remakes a Sacred Text
On the holy mountain of graphic novels, few would disagree that "Watchmen" sits at the very top. In 2005, Time listed it among the greatest English-language novels of all time, alongside such other unfilmable classics as "The Catcher in the Rye" and "On the Road." Since its publication in 1986, "Watchmen" has been ripped off countless times, most recently by "Heroes" — and, inevitably, younger audiences will assume that "Watchmen" is the derivative work.

9. It Kills a Living Person
Chew on this for a moment: Soon, a very-alive person will be able to buy a ticket, get a bucket of popcorn and watch himself being murdered 24 years ago — in IMAX, no less. In the entire history of film, it is simply unprecedented.

8. It Has No Stars

Four things you should know before seeing Watchmen:

....

2. The best stuff happens early. If you arrive 15 minutes late to a screening, don't go! The opening scene rocks, and the credit sequence is one of the most entertaining parts of the film.

3. It runs two hours and 40 minutes. You probably already know this, but don't forget -- and that's without the previews. Fortunately, I didn't have to take a bathroom break last night. If I did, I might've left during the prison scene.

Five Secrets Of The 'Watchmen' Universe

Alan Moore's Smiley Face
Although "Watchmen" now seems unimaginable without it, Gibbons admits that he stumbled on the franchise's symbol. "I thought the Comedian was too ominous, so I thought, 'I know, I'll give him one of those little '60s smiley badges,' " he remembered. "I dropped it in as a little detail. But Alan saw it and said, 'Yeah, that's how we can symbolize the death of the Comedian!' So we put it in the gutter with blood on it, and then we realized that was symbolic of the whole series: It was a basic cartoon, with a splash of reality."

I'm starting to sort of dread the midnight showing tomorrow. I'm worried it'll be mega-packed. But I live in St. Cloud so it might be sparse.

Yeah, but my roommate and I wanted to go see it together--since we read the book at the same time--and he leaves town for Spring Break on Friday morning, so Thursday night was the only time we could go see it at the same time.

No we will not do it afterwards. I actually hate my roomate, theSchoenrock. But to get him to stop cyberstalking me, I'm willing to go to the Watchmen with him.
