In case anybody is keeping the count in this dumb bragging race, here's an image of Mac OS X running two hundred apps at once, breaking the previous 150 apps record.

 

The new silly mark was set on a 20-inch 2007 iMac, with a 2.4ghz Core 2 Duo and 4 Gigabytes of RAM.
