Facebook offered to buy Twitter for $500 million of overvalued Facebook stock, Kara Swisher says. Twitter rejected the offer for several reasons:

It'll be interesting to see if they can actually make money off this. Some people are saying Twitter will eventually have to sell data if they want to make money.

I saw a post somewhere that said Twitter was looking at selling ads that showed up in people's Tweets. Ouch.

That "secret revenue model" will surely falter. Noone makes dough without selling or sharing data, somehow, someway
