I believe all the other gaffes, but I refuse to believe that a VP candidate didn't know Africa was a continent. That has to be a mistake or some sort of miscommunication.

She could list a newspaper or magazine that she read to keep informed.

It wouldn't surprise me if she didn't know that Africa was a continent.

Hmmm... I wouldn't put it past her... She did not know what the Bush doctrine is, among other things...

They are really throwing her under the bus though.

I think I read that is possible her approval rating went down in Alaska after she ran for VP

I think the actual explanation was that there was some confusion over South Africa's relationship to the rest of Africa. Still a completely ridiculous thing for a potential president not to know, but not quite as bad as it initially sounded.

totally becoming the scapegoat....I saw that interview when she couldn't name a magazine that she reads...she just said all of them...ha ha...I still wonder if Ted Stevens is pushed out, will she run for his Senate spot?
