Or more specifically their branding is like a religion according to this CNET article. I often joke it's more like a cult. I converted last year. I went from zero Apple products to having an iPod, a Macbook, an iMac and an iPhone in a little over a year. Ridiculous.

I swear I had a 1984 experience the last time I went into the Apple store in SOHO. We got an iphone and it was a very intimate transaction- in so far as transactions can be intimate(I think we're going out to dinner with the 2 "genuises" who helped us). They were all nice and serviceable, all the "geniuses" with their bright shirts and bright smiles. THEN, they give you your #. You don't get to choose it- Oh no, Apple does it for you. Then they send you on your way. Apple knows.

So it finally got delivered?
I'm still toying with the idea of picking one up and using my iMac solely for music. |

Yea, it was a pain in the ass. Missed UPS twice and their pickup times are unrealistic.
But I got it, and love it. You have the white iMac, right Bob? |

Ya, I bought it during July '06. I haven't had any problems with it and the 17" screen size still doesn't bother me.
What are the specs on your new Macbook? |

2.0 ghz 2gb ram 160gb HD
Pretty much a lateral move as far as macbooks go. Its the new design that makes this thing so awesome, not the specs.
You can really feel the difference when you pick it up. |
