Usually when a magazine hires an established pro photographer with an impressive portfolio, they expect flattering images and portrayals that make the subject look better than they would in real life. And that's just what shutterburg Jill Greenberg did for the political mag, The Atlantic, delivering a "heroic" cover shot of John Sidney McCain III just like the publication requested (image right). Wow, the vampire shot on her site is super disturbing. I wish she had gotten her lens on Sarah Palin.

Yeah I thought the war monger one was a bit over the top...but still pretty bad ass. I like the subtlety of the lipstick smeared cheater.
I love all her portraits though, so sharp I could cut my eyes on them. |
