Sam Stein writes at the Huffington Post:

John McCain's acceptance speech got off to a rocky start on Thursday night when, on three separate occasions, he was interrupted by protesters, twice by the liberal group Code Pink and again by a Ron Paul supporter with the group Iraq Veterans Against the War.

The shouts from the rafters - "McCain Votes Against Vets" and "Ask McCain about his voting record" - were drowned out by chants of "U.S.A," "U.S.A," but they seemed to throw McCain slightly off his game despite his ample experience being interrupted on the campaign trail. At any rate, he veered off his address to implore the crowd to ignore the "static" and explain that "Americans want us to stop shouting at each other."

Yeah and Biden's smile brings warmth to my heart.  One great thing about having a Democrat in office is that we won't have to deal with all the whining from the more zealous liberals.

Mike- you strongly dislike Republicans. Everything you say is partisan.

I disagree... the fact that you know I'm anti-republican makes you think everything I say is partisan. I try to see things clearly as much as possible, believe it or not.

My point is this:

Its one thing in a political discussion to be partisan. No one should criticize anyone for that. But when someone makes a comment about a particular politician having a creepy smile (or whatever none political example you can think of) its off putting to have someone quickly offer a negative trait about the opponent.

Thats all Im saying. Im coming from a completely non-political position on this one. Not every discussion regarding politicians needs to pit democrats and republicans against each other.

That make sense?

I'm just balancing things out.  Everyone disses Republicans because of  their partisanship and turn a blind eye to say, Biden, who had the worst track record of all the Democratic VP candidates. But since he's a Democrat, he's fail-safe and no one calls him out.  I'm as non-partisan as they come. My point was to deter partisanship ...because if McCain was a Democrat, I gurantee you there wouldn't be posts about his smile.  I wouldn't expect you to catch this since you're admittedly non-objective about it all.  Make sense?

Im saying you don't need to balance things out.

And you're wrong. In the other thread I commented on how terrible both cindy mccain and michelle obama looked. So it is WAY off base to say we're only bringing up his smile because we're anti-republican.

In fact, Al brought it up first, and I have no idea where he stands politically.

Everything doesn't have to be a fight.
