And the question everyone's asking (for some reason)? How old is Cindy McCain? She's 54. John McCain is 71. |

The video Pill posted at the top worked great for me just now, and it's of the entire speech.

Watched this last night too... LOL I had no idea he was so terrible at delivering speeches. It was fun to hear him fumble through that.
The problem with an old man talking about change is that we all know old people dont like change. It scares them.
Im excited to hear the debates. |

I love seeing all the anti-war protesters there, interuppting his speech. I know they showed them on Thirteen, not sure if they did on other stations.
I agree, he's a borefest with his speeches. |

His wife was even worse... Slurring left and right.
If I was the Republican heads I wouldnt be trolling her out there for a half hour long speech |

Gotta love how McCain refers to dissenters as "ground noise" and "static." Between this and Palin making fun of community organizers, this ticket isn't doing that hot a job of connecting to average Americans.

These conventions scare me. The booing and cheering in unison creeps me out, like people don't even know what they're booing or cheering for. They hear buzzwords like "oil', "taxes" or "change"
and just have this unified sheep reaction. Both Dems and Repubs, I feel like no one is thinking for themselves at all. |

You said it before, its a pep rally. They cheer cause the cameras are on.
At one point McCain kinda fucked up his delivery and was describing Obama's plans and I think the morons in the crowd didnt realise he was describing obama's platform and started cheering anyway.
Also that anti war protestor's sign was so on point. "you cant win an occupation" |

Yeah but at least the Republicans didn't do some ridiculous acceptance speech at a big ass stadium where it looked more like a communistic type rally than an American one. As much as it's cliche, the main problem with McCain IS his age(and personally, his stance on iraq). Homeboy can't relate enough and I'm afraid of him having mental breakdowns all the time..as he apparently has had. I feel bad for him though. No matter what party affiliation, McCain isn't a bad guy and he didn't deserve this. Like I said on another thread, if Obama's in office, we won't have to deal with these guys as much. As for his wife, her speech may suck but she's pretty dang cute for a lady in her 50s.
Oh and word is Clinton is refusing to attack Palin. |

Michele looks like she's always unhappy, or strongly worried about something.
