facebook dilemma

So my parents are on Facebook. To me, this sort of marks a tipping point in our family dynamic and... well... my life in general. What the hell has happened here?

I haven't discussed this matter with them yet (we're Facebook friends! We don't need to discuss anything!), but it's still going to be gnawing at me all weekend. Does anyone else have an elder relative on Facebook? Has it blighted your relationship with them? Let the dialogue begin.

P.S. Could an admin slap a title on this thing? I tossed it up before I'd filled out the rest of the form.

No add. You're not supposed to be "friends" with your parents. Different relationship.

My landlady added me as her friend. We're not even on friendly terms, at all. She hates me, actually. Disturbing.

At school the assistant dean and her secretary started a fake facebook account and busted people who had pictures of themselves drinking or smoking pot in the dorms.

Very much so, though I think Facebook facilitates lameocity.

The day my parents sign up for Facebook is the day I quit the internet.

You should be so proud that your parents signed up for Facebook!  I know I would be if my parents signed up for Facebook.  There are some poor souls who don't even have any parents.  You are so lucky that your parents take such an interest in you.  Come to think of it, lucky would be a good name for a cat....
