We have, in recent weeks, received a large number of press inquires in regards to Noise Floor Crew's controversial unauthorized remix album of Portishead's "Third."

On July 6th the album leaked onto the internet through the Trash Menagerie blog. Within a day of the first single hitting the web, Noise Floor was profiled by New York Magazine next to work from Outkast, My Morning Jacket and Three Six Mafia, becoming a viral sensation featured on hundreds of blogs, podcasts and radio shows, crashing hosting servers during its first 48 hours on the web. Since then Noise Floor has received fan mail from Miss Kittin, Drop the Lime, Dozia and King Britt (of Digable Planets), The Bloody Beetroots, Laurent Garnier and many more of the most important voices in dance music.

Heralded as no less than the successors to Danger Mouse's "Grey Album," Noise Floor Crew is now in talks with some major label scouts with interest in their forthcoming original album. Though adamant in challenging sampling law and unapologetic about their illegal homage to Portishead's new masterpiece, until now the members of Noise Floor Crew have been relatively tight lipped, only granting one interview. But with the number of requests for interviews mounting they have agreed to schedule a small number of press engagements.

The core members of Noise Floor Crew (Angel Alanis, Lady Foursquare and Local Hero) will be available to press through the month of August. I've attached a press release about the project. Please get in touch with me by email if you are interested in scheduling time with the artists.
