They need to make a new Evil Dead instead.

The evil dead musical was supposed to be pretty fantastic.

Never got around to watching it though.

They were going to make a new Evil Dead, which sounded good (it was all new kids going to THAT cabin, but TODAY) so it WAS a straight up sequel, not a remake.

 

But there IS a new film called MY NAME IS BRUCE which is sort of a weird Evil Dead sequel where Bruce Campbell plays himself, and he's sick of ppl calling him Ash, but then Deadites come and he has to fight them. Like Ash.

NICE!!! That should be awesome.  I would like to see a movie where they focus on Freddy before he was burned/dead/haunting children in their dreams.  That would be creepy to have him as the neighbor who killed children then have it end with the towns people burning him alive.
