Phil, Ethan and I were discussing how someone should make a list of benefits for those that don't buy an iPhone (bring down your current cell phone price plan, etc.)

• iPhone completely blocks free software. Developers must pay a tax to Apple, who becomes the sole authority over what can and can't be on everyone's phones.
• iPhone endorses and supports Digital Restrictions Management (DRM) technology.
• iPhone exposes your whereabouts and provides ways for others to track you without your knowledge.
• iPhone won't play patent- and DRM-free formats like Ogg Vorbis and Theora.

You've convinced me.  Well, I thought the touch screen was retarded anyway - I mean, I have enough trouble keeping my iPod classic grease free - but this seals it.

those are some strong points they list......

but i still want one although i don't think i'm getting one any time soon. 

Eh, I have no desire to get one.
