Playboy has a poll up for the hottest female blogger. Then they'll ask the winner to pose. 

Round up the usual suspects! Playboy.com has decided on the hottest female bloggers. Boing Boing co-editor Xeni Jardin and her ex-lover, sexblogger (and Fleshbot contributor) Violet Blue, are both on the list. (All posts referencing Blue were recently deleted by Jardin from Boing Boing—awkward!)

it's really about the photo they used i think. 

Well it turns out that a number of the bloggers in this Playboy competition do not want to be in it. Playboy's tactics to get the photos seem deceptive too. Here are the details:

At least four of the nine women chosen by Playboy editors for their hottest blogger contest are actively playing to lose. None of them would let us run their emails from Playboy.com's editors, but there's a clear pattern: Playboy emailed blogstars like Xeni Jardin for a chaste headshot photo to go into an article about sexy bloggers. The emails didn't explain that (a) it was a poll, and (b) the point of the poll was to get the winner to pose "topless or nude" — no G-rated shoots — for the magazine's website.
